Refund Policy

To provide the best customer satisfaction, we’ve created the following Refund & Return policy.

If you have any questions regarding our refund and return policy, especially concerning catering refunds or food order errors, please give us a call at 908-364-6057. Once you place your order, we begin preparing it immediately, and please note that we do NOT accept cancellations under any circumstances once the order is prepared.

Food Order Errors:

For WALK-IN / CALL-IN orders: If you receive food that is different from your receipt, please call us as soon as you notice the error regarding your food order errors. If the mistake was made by our restaurant, please return the wrong item to the restaurant immediately in its original, untampered container so we can replace it with the correct item. Please note that according to our refund and return policy, if 25% or more of the food has been consumed or removed, we cannot issue any catering refunds, discounts, refunds/exchanges, or store credit.

For Refunds:

For debit or credit card payments, you will receive catering refunds for the sales price amount associated with the food order errors and be recharged for the new item’s price. Refunds will be processed in 3-5 business days according to your banking institution. For cash payments, you will be refunded the incorrect item’s sales price amount as a store credit. *To resolve your issue immediately, please return the incorrect item to our restaurant within 3 hours of the time of purchase. Any orders returned after the 3-hour period will not be considered for refunds, in accordance with our refund and return policy.

For DELIVERY orders:

If you receive food that is different from your receipt and the mistake was made by our restaurant, please contact us immediately. We will correct any food order errors by delivering the right item to you or offering catering refunds in the form of store credit. If you choose to have the correct item re-delivered, please exchange the incorrect item to the driver upon arrival to process the return. Please note that according to our refund and return policy, if 25% or more of the food has been consumed or removed, we cannot issue any discount, refund, exchange, or store credit.

Food Order Incomplete:

In the event that you experience food order errors and do not receive items listed on your receipt, we will make it up to you. Please call us as soon as you notice any missing food items from your order. Under our refund and return policy, you may pick up the missed item immediately at the restaurant after notifying us.

Courtesy Items (hot sauce, utensils, etc).

We provide courtesy items such as disposable utensils and hot sauce at no extra charge when requested. If we inadvertently omit a free courtesy item, please inform us so we can address the food order errors with our staff. However, please note that we cannot deliver courtesy items to your address, nor can we offer catering refunds, discounts, refunds, or store credit for these items.

Pick-Up Items:

We are not responsible for any food order errors or damage to food items once the order is picked up by the customer and leaves our restaurant. Please note: We strive to prepare and package our pick-up items to maintain the high quality of the food. Keep in mind that the temperature, sauce, and consistency of some items may vary slightly after packaging. For information regarding our catering refunds, please refer to our refund and return policy.

Food Dissatisfaction

Our dishes are freshly made to order using only the finest and freshest ingredients. Please note that catering refunds are not available for food items that a customer does not like, and we do not accept comparisons to other restaurants regarding different spices or ingredients. For more details on our current menu prices and item descriptions, please visit our website. Additionally, our refund and return policy does not cover food order errors.

Cancel Order:

We cannot process catering refunds if you change your mind, forget to pick up your order, or mistakenly order an item after it has been prepared. Additionally, our refund and return policy states that we cannot provide any refunds or store credit for non-food items or beverages, including situations involving food order errors.

Complimentary Food and Discounts

We cannot provide a refund or cash value on any complimentary food as per our refund and return policy. Additionally, discounts cannot be applied to previous purchases, and coupons must always be presented at the time of purchase to avoid any food order errors.

Store Credit

All store credits expire within 14 days of the original purchase. For any food order errors or to inquire about our catering refunds, please call our restaurant directly at 973-982-6528 to learn more about our refund and return policy.

Catering Refunds

Cancellation by Client / Venue / Acts of God

All prepayments and deposits are returned in full (less $100.00) if your event is cancelled by you, your venue, or by an act of god, 14 days or more from your event date. If the event is cancelled between 7 days and 10 days from your event date, all prepayments and deposits are returned to you in full (less 50% of your deposit amount), aligning with our refund and return policy. However, if the event is cancelled within 4 days of your event date, all deposits and prepayments are forfeited in full, which is important to note in case of any catering refunds or food order errors.

Change of Event Date

At least 14 days in advance, we will apply the entire balance of your deposits and prepayments towards another date based on availability, as outlined in our refund and return policy. This ensures that in case of any food order errors, we can efficiently manage catering refunds.

As a private business, it is the right of the restaurant to deny or refuse service to any customer for any reason. If a customer abuses any part of our Refund and Return Policy, including issues related to catering refunds or food order errors, we will not be able to conduct future business with you. This refund policy applies to KB's BBQ Smokehouse and H&S Soul Food. Thank you for your understanding.
